Overview:
The German National Tourist Office is the central sales, marketing and public relations organization for Germany as a tourist destination. It promotes an enormous and appealing product: Germany as a Vacation Land.

Its strategic goal is the responsible marketing of inter-regional Vacation Themes in Germany. This encompasses the development of demand- and experience-oriented Marketing and the centralization and optimization of all marketing activities that reach to every level of the approach to the market. Thus the German National Tourist Board works in close cooperation and economic partnership with all levels of the tourism industry in Germany.

Since 1952, the German National Tourist Office has been established in North America with an office in New York and Los Angeles, and representatives in Chicago and Toronto. Since 2004, the German National Tourist Office New York has become the regional representation for the entirety of North and South America as well as Israel.
