RECOGNITION. Domestic and international recognition as a member of a travel and tourism trade associations for professionals. Founded in 1989, ATS is a nonprofit, nonpolitical travel industry organization. A recent statistical assessment of ATS's economic impact found that cumulatively our present membership represents over $ 4 Billion in sales and over 3 million travelers annually. ATS also maintains reciprocal memberships with other significant tourism industry organizations such as the United States Tour Operators Assn. (USTOA), the Baltic Tourism Commission (BTC) and the International Institute for Peace Through Tourism (IIPTT).

NETWORKING. Networking opportunities with ATS member and resources here and abroad, such as annual membership meetings. The Spring Meeting and Travel Mart is traditionally held overseas, in venues of special interest to the membership and at specially negotiated air and registration rates.

REPRESENTATION. ATS provides its membership and their interests representation with U.S. state and federal government departments, agencies and regulatory bodies as well as representation with foreign governments regarding such issues as taxes, visa policies, and restrictions to the free flow and development of tourism, etc.

EDUCATION. ATS provides Forums and Seminars on “How To Do Business in North America” in the four regions it represents. These regions include: The Baltics, Central Europe, The Mediterranean/Red Sea, and Russia and the CIS.

ACCESS. Through your ATS membership you enjoy priority access to internationally known tour operators, ground tour operators, hotels, airlines, government tourist offices, other trade associations and significant travel and tourism interests.

COMMUNICATIONS. The ATS Alert, the association newsletter is published via e-mail and sent to members, and reports industry news and developments, profiles new members and offers members the opportunity to describe new products and services.

WEBSITE. The ATS website offers members greater visibility and provides valuable information through hyperlinks to their own websites and through its connection to all major search engines. A major restructuring and refocusing of the website is underway.
